Thatchways

Crackington Haven

A Classic Holiday Cottage on the North Cornwall Coast

Overlooking Crackington Haven beach this beautiful thatched cottage will give you a relaxing, comfortable home for your family holiday.

Whether high summer with all the fun of a Cornish beach holiday or a winter break watching the storms beside a roaring fire, Thatchways is a delight and a perfect spot to let yourselves relax to the ebb of tide and varying colours of the seas below.

Suitable for a large family or two smaller we have 2 doubles, a small double, a twin room and a children's bunk room, sleeping a maximum of 9. The master bedroom is spacious with magnificent views.

This property has been loved by our family for three generations and remains much as it always has, a simple, well furnished home; cool and spacious in the heat of summer, warm and cosy in the winter.

Comfortable rustic furniture without television lends to evenings of games and chat. Good wifi is a nod to current needs but otherwise it is a home for the quintessential Cornish holiday. A cottage, a garden, and the distant sounds of children playing on the sands.

Crackington Haven is small coastal community in a steep sided valley with a pub, two cafes and a lifeguarded surfing beach a short stroll from the cottage.

A  few miles from the A30 and A39 you are in an enviable position to quickly reach all the attractions, cuisine and adventure Cornwall has to offer.

With the Cornwall coast path on the door step you are moments from the serenity of the high cliffs and some of the best walks in the county.

Old fashioned charm; felt like a real family home. We loved the step back in time feeling of this quirky house and loved the fact that nothing was staged ... a very special house, thank you.

Loved the house, it’s position and Crackington Haven. We will be back again.
